TRR Series

Temperature Rise Insulated Steel Doors

Made from Galvanneal Steel with A40 (ZF120) coating.
Optional G90 (ZF275) coating also available.

Our Temperature Rise Insulated Door is a fire-rated steel door specifically designed to limit the transmission of heat from one side to the other during a fire. The specially engineered core helps the non-fire side of the door stay cooler for longer and meets 250°F, 450°F, or 650°F rise ratings over 60 minutes. This makes it ideal for stairwells, corridors, and emergency exit routes in multi-story buildings.

Fire Rating:

up to 90min or 3hrs*

Key Features

Fire-Rated Performance

Built to meet fire ratings up to 90 minutes or 3 hours, helping prevent flame spread and maintain structural integrity during a fire event.

Temperature Rise Protection

Specially engineered core limits heat transfer to the non-fire side of the door, meeting 250°F, 450°F, or 650°F rise ratings over 60 minutes to protect egress paths.

Code-Compliant for Life Safety

Designed to meet IBC, NFPA 80, and UL 10C standards, making them suitable for stairwells, elevator lobbies, and rated corridors in commercial and institutional buildings.

Durability

Durable and resistant to wear, corrosion, rust, and deterioration, the galvanized steel construction withstands high moisture, chemical exposure, and harsh weather conditions.

Material Thickness Options

Our Temperature Rise Rated Doors are available in thicknesses ranging from 20 Gauge to 14 Gauge steel.
Lighter and more economical. Suitable for less demanding applications where security and durability are not a primary concern.
Sturdier and more durable. It offers better resistance to bending and denting and is suitable for areas where security is a concern but not necessarily a top priority.
One of the thickest standard materials used in the industry. Offers a very high level of security and durability.
The thickest and strongest material used in the construction of our doors. Typically used in our Weld Seam and STC series doors.

Insulated Core Options

Temperature Rise Doors are insulated with a specially engineered core.

Seam Edge Options

We offer 2 additional edge finishing options to all our steel doors. They are optional and depend on preference for added longevity or a smoother, visually pleasing finish.

Tack Seam

Our tack seamed doors offer a tack welded edge on the lock seam for added durability.

Tack & Fill

This option offers the same tack welded edge, followed by body filling to create a smooth seamless finish.

Design Elevation Options

Whether you need visibility, air circulation or want natural light to come through, our door elevation* options allow you to meet any need or style.

* Door elevations refer to the various lite cutouts when specified by the architect.

Doors with a lite cutout will be supplied with either a snap-in glazing kit or screw-in thermal kit, depending on specifications (glass is to be supplied and installed by others).
